The Middle School learners have finally returned to having weekly assemblies together in the hall. The children were super excited to be celebrating achievements and sharing writing with others. Their behaviour was impeccable and delightful singing voices could be heard from the office. The National Anthem and our Owairoa School song were the top picks this week.
Our hall has also been in great use over the past few weeks during Sport with Mr Basson where Year 3 students have been learning to be athletes. With the recent Commonwealth Games still fresh in their minds, students were enthusiastic being taught skills from discus to shotput. Their determination to get the furthest distance made for great classroom competitiveness.
As the season changes to Spring, we will begin to enjoy warmer weather, and look forward to celebrating the official opening of our new classroom block.
