Ho, Ho, Ho, Merry Christmas from the Year 3 students and teachers! We aren’t going to let lockdown ruin our Christmas cheer, so with Santa hats and jingle bells, we celebrate Christmas at Owairoa!
The Year 3’s are getting into the Christmas spirit. In Week 8 we had a Christmas accessory day, where the students wore a Christmas accessory in exchange for a can of food which was donated to the community food bank.
The learners have enjoyed being back at school and learning new things before heading into the holidays. The Year 3 teachers have created fun, and engaging learning programmes and have taken advantage of the warm, beautiful weather by taking sessions outdoors. From reading books under a big shady tree, outdoor writing experiences and taking brain breaks out on the grass.
A big thank you to all our parents for your continuing support during these difficult times, but I have to say it’s great to be back in the classroom!
