As the year has progressed, the Senior School has been working hard to incorporate Mitey into everyday school activities. This has helped our students to become more independent, responsible and resilient. As Sir John Kirwin says, it takes a village to raise mentally thriving children.
Over the last few weeks, the Hilton Cup has been competed for. This is a Netball tournament for all the classes in Year 5 and 6. A team is put together from each class and we play during lunch times. After a semi and quarter final, the final is played. This competition has bought out the best in all of our students.
All the players have shown sportsmanship and worked as part of a team. They have treated others in the way you would like to be treated, played hard and challenged themselves with integrity and honesty. By working cooperatively as part of a team, they have learnt to respect opponents, referees and their decisions.
Our students showed sportsmanship, which was a pleasure to see. Congratulations to M12 who won it this year. Long may this competition and Mitey work alongside each other for the benefit of all students.
