Research has shown that children benefit in many ways from regular physical activity. It can boost their attention, build strong muscles and help them sleep!
Each morning the students in Room 10 love going outside (weather permitting) to grow and stretch their muscles. This regular exercise supports the skills that Mr Basson promotes in his Physical Education lessons.
Some mornings they use the playground equipment to hang, swing and climb on. The goal is that every child in the class will be able to go across the monkey bars by the end of the year. Other mornings they can be seen doing relays and games to increase their fitness. This sets them up to face the day of busy learning.
