The initial focus for Term 4 is to support the students in setting new learning goals in English. Each student reflects on their progress to date and thinks about the areas where they are not having as much success. One specific area is selected then an achievable goal is written.
These goals form part of the weekly lessons for each student so that they can develop and practise English in these aspects. At all times the aim is to make learning English interesting and enjoyable.
The students are publishing their goals for a display. This means not only that the goals are visible to the students and their parents but that they can be referred to often and progress checked against them.
