This week the Junior School learners have been participating in the nationwide focus of Sea Week.
“Ko au te moana, ko te moana ko au – I am the sea, the sea is me”
Sea week is a week when New Zealand focuses on learning about the sea and the wonderful creatures that live in it. We have been learning about how our actions can affect the sea and what we can do to better look after it.
The learners in Room 10 have been learning to identify some of the special sea life that we have in New Zealand and enjoyed contributing a window display for their classroom. They also wrote stories about why the sea was important to them.
