On Thursday 6th June the Middle School poetry competition buzzed with excitement in the bustling hall. Representatives from each class showcased their poetic talents, aiming for the top spot.
The room was filled with eager spectators, eagerly anticipating the performances. Each contestant was judged on various criteria, including intonation, clarity, and expression, adding to the suspense.
As the poets took the stage, the atmosphere crackled with energy and anticipation. Some delivered their verses with confidence, while others captivated the audience with their heartfelt delivery.
Cheers erupted for the winners, with Olivia Rider claiming 1st place, Lucy McIntosh securing 2nd place, and Taylor Ellis earning 3rd place in Year 3. In Year 4, Eli Marais took the top spot, followed by Miane Jooste in 2nd place and Enaya Mohsin in 3rd place.
Their performances left a lasting impact on all who attended, celebrating the power of words and creativity.
