Have you ever noticed how plants grow towards the light? Year 3 scientists decided to investigate this observation. They used the knowledge they had acquired in Science to design and create plant mazes in ISTEAM.
The Year 3’s used cardboard shoe boxes, cardboard inserts, a cup with soil and a bean to create the mazes. The mazes are now ready and over the next few weeks, the learners will make close observations of their plant to see whether it grows through the maze towards the sunlight.
All learners showed great enthusiasm and interest in this project and are excited to see how their plant will grow.
