All the Year 2 students were busy learning about our Solar System and the Sun, our lucky star in the middle of it.
The students have become experts in all planet matters and they can tell you everything about the planets’ order in the Solar System, what are they made of, their size and their moons, how long it takes for them to revolve around the Sun and what makes each one of them special. They have also learned about day and night, about the succession of the seasons, shadows and how to make a sundial.
Here is a ‘What Am I’ poem written by one of the learners in Year 2. Can you guess what is it about?
I am a giant ball of gas.
I am an enormous magnet keeping the planets together.
I am a 4.5 billion years old star.
I am sending heat and light to the Earth.
What Am I?
