It is that time of year again when the Year 6 children start to think about what Intermediate School they will be attending. The excitement has been real over the past few weeks with some of the local Intermediate school Principals visiting to show what is on offer on their campus, and parents sending off applications.
Students are coming back to class with tales of the amazing opportunities that await them – hard materials, design, food technology, performing arts and many different sports. Luckily for our students we have set them in good stead to excel in all these areas, in part due to our weekly ISTEAM programs.
Once the initial thrill wears off, the nerves come out and they sigh with relief at still having another 6 months of their Primary years to enjoy.
We have also been spending time watching the Olympic Games and some lunch times have been spent in the hall cheering on our talented athletes. Watching our great sports people represent our country is priceless and it is fantastic to see our students so enthusiastic.
