We would like to share the success of our recent fire drill from the new two-story block and highlight the amazing performance of our Year 3 learners.
We are pleased to report that the learners in our school showed great maturity and responsibility during the fire drill. They remained calm and followed the protocol precisely. Everyone arrived promptly at the designated assembly point and managed themselves effectively.
In particular, we were extremely impressed with the Year 3 learners’ performance, as it was their first time doing a fire drill from the new block at top of the school. Despite the constant ringing of the loud alarm, they remained composed and followed the protocol with ease, demonstrating excellent behaviour and cooperation. We are incredibly proud of our Year 3 learners for their outstanding performance during the fire drill.
Following the drill, learners engaged in discussions about what to do during other emergencies that could occur at school. They shared ideas and brainstormed different scenarios to ensure that they are well-prepared for any potential emergency.
At Owairoa Primary School, we believe that preparing learners for unexpected situations is crucial. Our learners demonstrated that they are responsible and capable individuals who take their safety and the safety of others seriously. We are confident that they will continue to act responsibly and cooperatively in the event of any future emergencies.
Ka Pai Year 3!
