What a delightful afternoon we had celebrating the learning achievements of our students at the Year 3 End of Year Concert.
The students have spent weeks preparing for their stage debut by practicing their performances, making props, and singing together. It was fabulous to see a variety of items with singing, dancing, and acting. Students beaming faces from the stage showed their enthusiasm and they performed with pride during both their class acts and singing showcases.
We congratulated two students from each classroom who were awarded the end of year Principal Awards for either academic achievement or showing the Owairoa RISE values. It was a day of celebrating all our Year 3 learners and the many achievements they have made throughout the year as they head towards Year 4.
The highlight for the children was obviously the special surprise visitor who dropped in briefly to check the naughty or nice list and left lollipops for all.
Thank you to all whanau who were able to attend. It was a pleasure having you with us to celebrate this special occasion and we wish you all a happy and safe Christmas break.
