The whole school celebrated Grandparents afternoon on Thursday 24th of October. There was a great turn out of grandparents and significant people who turned up to help our students show off their classroom’s, work and talents. The performances were outstanding and the feedback from our visitors was that it was “well rehearsed”, “amazing”, and “even better than some of the intermediates”.
As part of the special day, the Senior School (and the rest of the school), had activities planned for the students to do with their grandparents / significant other. In Team 6, some students worked on Bio Poems. The whole class did a Bio Poem using the template for someone special in their lives. If a grandparent was here with them, they did their poem on their grandparents.
Once the writing was done, the children honed their typing skills. Once typed, they could change the font, add colour, and change size to show their computer skills. The next step was to see if they could add in a picture or background.
