The focus in the International English Classes is to support the students in learning English. Each student sets a goal at the beginning of the term in the area they feel they want help with ~ Reading, Writing, Speaking.
The weekly lessons cover the areas the students have identified; whether it is new vocabulary, playing a game or an activity that requires everyone to talk, give information or an explanation or writing about an experience or object.
Currently we are working on speeches, supporting the work being done in classes in preparation for the Speech Competitions. The students have the opportunity to practice speech techniques both in writing the content and delivering the speech to an audience within a small group setting.
