After what feels like a very long time, this year we were able to reignite our tradition of ending the year with a celebratory concert. The Year Two students were so excited and proud to perform in front of their parents and grandparents and they stepped on the stage with confidence and big smiles.
Every classroom prepared a different item, and the learners had the opportunity to shine while singing and dancing, performing plays and skits based on well-known picture books or performing traditional Maori waiata. It all ended with a surprise visit from Santa who delivered some well-deserved sweet treats.
One of the highlights and most anticipated moment of the afternoon was the awarding of the End of Year Certificates. It was an opportunity to celebrate the children’s achievements and successes, to recognise their hard work and positive attitude towards school and learning.
The Year 2 teachers wish all their learners and their families a restful holiday, a wonderful and peaceful Christmas and a Happy New Year!
