The end of lockdown and long summer days mean Summer sports are still in full swing. The disappointment of the Softball Field day being cancelled was made up for by many of our students attending interschool competitions last week.
Two of our senior school cricket teams attended a tournament last Wednesday and Thursday. It was a great day spent at the Howick Pakuranga cricket grounds where the teams played several games per day. We may not have won any medals, but the behaviour and sportsmanship of our students was impeccable as always.
Our swimming team spent Friday competing at Lloyd Elsmore pool with many placing in their race. A huge thank you to our parent helpers who came along to these events.
We have also been lucky enough to have had Coach Aaron from Howick Tennis Club working with our students to increase their tennis skills during Sport.
Weekly assemblies are also back on the timetable. This is a time for senior students to get together to share their learning and celebrate their successes. Well done to those who have already been recognised and received certificates thus far.
