Although the weather hasn’t always been the best, the Juniors have enjoyed finding new books to curl up with. The school library is an awesome place to go to as learners get to choose a book that they can take home. It is an exciting time of the week for many students and teachers that enjoy a good book, or maybe just a break from the classroom. If you are quiet and look carefully you may catch a glimpse of our wonderful librarian, Mrs Brown. Make sure you say hello the next time you see her, she may be hiding under a pile of books.
The readers of Room 2 have been learning how to respect the library by using their bookmarkers properly and keeping the library tidy. Respect is one of our school’s R.I.S.E values. We are also learning to choose books that we may not usually choose to extend our imagination and ideas. At Owairoa Primary we are very fortunate to have a library filled with so many wonderful books.
The more that you read, the more that you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go! – Dr. Seuss
The next time you’re in the library remember that every book is a new adventure!
