Ahoy there – me hearties! Week 9 was a mighty week, buzzing with books and pirates. Classes enjoyed daily reading – Drop the Anchor and Read, a pirate parade around the school, an open afternoon and a rotation around the Year 4 the classes.
Mrs Humphreys sailed into classes sharing some of her favourite books. Learners created some wonderful art and treasure maps. Parents had the opportunity to join in with their child’s class and try their hand at arts and crafts.
One of the highlights was navigating through the sea of class rotations. One of these rotations had children making their own music, using Google Song Maker, to create a pirate soundscape. Lots of fun was had making an individual soundtrack which was then added into a coding project. Some smiling faces can be seen here, creating their masterpieces!
