We are back at school after three months of Lockdown, but learning looks a bit different.
Not only that the children have staggered attendance on different days, but a lot of the teaching is happening outside. The Year 2 teachers were really creative at moving the classroom outdoors, taking advantage of the warm and beautiful summer weather.
Wherever you turn there is something exciting happening: a classroom is reading a book in the shade under a big tree, another group of children is learning Place Value by throwing bean bags at a target. There are children on the grass with their sketching pads having an Art lesson in the nature.
In another corner of the school learners are practising their numbers, letters and spelling with chalk on the concrete. Others are keeping fit, learning to use the skipping ropes or new football skills. And, how about this for a fun lesson outdoors: building a fort!
Who says that learning in the times of Covid can’t be fun, exciting and challenging?
