International Student Enrolment

Owairoa Primary School welcomes individuals and group students to enrol for short-term [from one week] and for longer periods [up to six years] of study to students aged 5 to 12 years old.

International Students aged 5 - 9 years old must be accompanied by, and continue to live with, a parent for the duration of their studies at Owairoa Primary School

International Students aged 10-12 years old can enrol wihout their Parent/s, and can live in an Owairoa-approved Homestay, with a family member or relative, or with a designated caregiver.

Application Requirements

• Student Enrolment Form

• Copy of Passport Title Page

• Copy of Visitors Visa or Student Visa

• Passport sized photograph of student

• Travel and Medical Insurance or payment for policy through the school

• Payment of International Student Fees

Enrolment Procedure

1. A pre-enrolment Online Enquiry can be submitted, or you can email your enquiry to Diane McIntyre, Director of International Education

2. A individualised quotation and invitiation letter will be emailed to you

3. Completed applications (criteria mentioned above) can be emailed to Diane McIntyre, or handed in at the International Office

4. Payment of International Student Fees can be made to the school bank account. (Refund Policy applies)

5. Once the application is approved, a receipt and an Acceptance of Place letter is emailed.  The place for the student is now confirmed
